Common Questions

Which plan should I choose?

The Pro and Pro+ plans are personal licenses for individuals and can be used for both commercial and non-commercial purposes. The license is valid for one person and can be used on up to 3 computers (whether running Windows, macOS, or Linux). These personal licenses cannot be transferred to or shared with other persons.

Pro is a one-time purchase with 12 months of updates included; Pro+ is a subscription with more powerful machine translation and with all upgrades free.

The For Teams plan allows organisations to manage the license for all team members centrally. Unlike with personal licenses, seats under the Teams plan can be assigned to employees, revoked or moved to another employee as your needs change or employees leave the company. You can remove or add more seats at any time.

What happens if I cancel my Pro+ subscription?

You’ll still have a personal Pro license. All Pro features will continue to work, except for pre-translation and machine-translation that will stop with the subscription. You’ll also stop receiving updates to new versions.

What does 1 year of updates mean?

When you buy Poedit Pro, your license includes one year of feature updates and machine translation. Afterwards, you can continue using the version you have, renew right away or wait until there’s more new features. It’s totally up to you.

When will I receive the license key?

As soon as you make a purchase and your order is accepted, your license key will be emailed to you straight away.

What payment methods do you accept?

Checkout is powered by Paddle. They support major credit and debit cards, PayPal, Apple Pay and other payment methods.

I need an invoice, where can I request it?

You will receive an invoice by email with your purchase. You'll then be able to add your details to it afterwards. If you're in the EU and registered for VAT, you can enter your VAT number during checkout.
